March 2025 Blog

Hi everyone!

March is the perfect time to refresh your crafting projects with bright colors, seasonal themes and new techniques! Whether you’re gearing up for St. Patrick’s Day, Easter or just looking for fresh spring inspiration, here are five Cricut and sublimation projects that are easy, fun and perfect for this time of year.

1. Personalized St. Patrick’s Day T-Shirts (Sublimation or HTV)

Who doesn’t love a fun St. Patrick’s Day shirt? Whether you’re making one for yourself, your kids or even your pet, you can easily create a custom design using sublimation or heat transfer vinyl (HTV).

🎨 Design Tip: Use a mix of green tones and playful sayings like “Pinch Proof” or “Lucky & Blessed.” If using sublimation, try adding a watercolor shamrock background for a trendy effect!

Want to make one together? I have a class on March 3rd where we’ll be making a fun glitter St. Paddy’s Day shirt! Can’t make it live? No worries—there’s also a recording available if that works better for you.

2. Spring-Themed Door Sign (Cricut & Sublimation)

Brighten up your front door with a personalized spring welcome sign! Using your Cricut, you can cut out a vinyl stencil and paint a wooden round sign, or go for full sublimation on an MDF blank for a seamless look.

💡Idea: A floral design with “Hello Spring” or “Welcome” written in a fun script font will make a perfect seasonal decoration.

Join me for a class on March 11th to make a gorgeous spring-themed door sign! Can’t make it live? No problem—there’s also a recorded version available so you can craft at your own pace.

3. Easter Basket Name Tags (Cricut)

Easter baskets aren’t complete without a personalized name tag! Use your Cricut to cut out bunny or egg-shaped tags from acrylic or wood, then engrave or add vinyl for a polished touch.

🐰 Bonus Idea: If you have a laser engraver, you can add an extra level of detail to your tags!

4. Custom Coffee Mug for Spring Mornings (Sublimation, Infusible Ink, or Vinyl)

As the days start getting longer, a fresh new coffee mug can add some joy to your morning routine! Whether you prefer sublimation, Cricut Infusible Ink or good old vinyl, you can create a fun and unique design to brighten your day.

Design Idea: Try a fun quote like “Spring Awakens the Soul” or a floral monogram with your name.

5. DIY Spring Stickers (Cricut Print Then Cut)

If you love decorating planners, scrapbooks, or packaging, spring-themed stickers are a must! Use Cricut’s Print Then Cut feature to create flower, butterfly, and Easter-themed stickers.

🌸 Pro Tip: Use waterproof printable vinyl for durable stickers that can go on tumblers and water bottles.

Thoughts on the New Cricut Explore 4 & Maker 4

Cricut recently launched the Explore 4 and Maker 4, but the big question is—should you upgrade? I went live in my Facebook group this past week to share my thoughts, but here’s a quick rundown:

  • The only upgrade is that these machines cut twice as fast as the previous models. If you sell your crafts and time is money, this could be a helpful feature—but for most crafters, it’s not a game-changer.

  • The new Sea Shell color is available directly from Cricut, while Sage is exclusive to Michaels.

  • If you’re looking to buy your first machine, Cricut has lowered the price slightly and included a bundle that lets you make 10 projects straight out of the box. That makes it a great starter option!

  • Final Verdict: If you already own a Maker 3 or Explore 3, save your money. But if you’re in the market for a new machine, the new pricing and bundle make it worth considering.

If you want my full recap, head over to my Facebook page, where I went live breaking down all the details and answering questions about the new Cricut Explore 4 and Maker 4.
